Horses and Horsepower: Two days, Two Shows

Last weekend was a packed schedule of horses and horsepower. On Saturday, I piloted my 16-year-old French Selle Francais mare to a clear round at the venerable Devon Horse Show in Devon, Pennslyvania. This event has been held each spring since 1897. We headed home Saturday night and loaded up Turtle Garage’s 1938 BMW R51 to show at the 24th annual Greenwich Concours. Below is a video of Pistoya’s round from Devon as well as some photographs that capture the essence of Sunday’s show in Greenwich. Bentley and Zagato were the featured marque in honor of their 100th anniversary. Hats off to the Wennerstrom family and all the staff at the Greenwich Concours—once again they hit it out of the park with a first-class event!

Kind of hard to top when one of the folks at the office asks, “So, Philip, how was your weekend.”

Congrats on your clear round, in fact congrats on getting to Devon at all. Lovely mare. Not many Selle Francais in the US.

    Great group of cars, too.
