While our website was largely dormant and quiet in 2024, collector car activity behind the scenes at Turtle Garage reached new all time highs. Indeed, 2024 was a very full and special year at Turtle Garage. First on the list was marrying Kyle Olson in October. A highlight of the wedding was driving in style from the ceremony to the reception in a 92-year-old Packard. In 2024, a few new vehicles were added to the collection at Turtle Garage. We interviewed industry luminaries. We went on several podcasts. Turtle Garage played host to the East Coast Bring a Trailer reunion. We showed cars at major events. We continued to publish articles in Sports Car Market. We made several trips to Naples Florida to the Revs Institute. Being on the board of this incredible organization has been an honor and a privilege—Revs is further solidifying its leadership role as a pioneering thought leader within the collector car industry. In short, 2024 was a fulfilling and busy year proving once again the value and benefits of spending time around meaningful automobiles and the people who enjoy, admire, own, restore, maintain, and write about them. The collector car industry remains vibrant and healthy and is unique in its ability to attract diverse and fascinating people who share values and a passion for automobiles.
The Year in Review: 2024
In May we took delivery of our new BMW G87 M2. In many ways, the new M2 is a throwback to a bygone era—it has rear wheel drive with a six-speed manual transmission and massive fender flares à la E30 M3. In July, Wayne Carini spoke at our Hollow Brook Wealth Management “Wealth Alliance” event. This Ferrari-side chat revealed a personal and business side of Wayne that much of the public has never seen before. In October we were interviewed on Bloomberg’s Hot Persuit podcast. On the podcast we covered Revs, the Turtle Invitational, and the state of the market. In the fall Turtle Garage hosted the Bring a Trailer northeast reunion, hosting over 700 cars and over 1,000 passionate car enthusiasts at Coker Farm in Bedford. In November the Turtle Garage Vanderbilt Packard Twelve Dietrich Victoria was awarded Best in Class at the 2024 Hilton Head Concours. We could not have achieved this milestone without the meticulous care and detail of Parker Roaf at Parker’s Packards. Magneto Magazine covered the victory at Hilton Head all the way from London. Before the end of the year we took delivery of the Turtle Garage 1985 Honda ATC 350X. This machine was painstakingly restored by Mike Palmgren at Vintage Motorsports Restorations. Finally, In 2024, we signed up for a growing newsletter called the Daily Vroom and we highly recommend it as a great way to keep up with the collector car scene. Mark your calendars now for the Turtle Invitational 5 being held on Sunday September 21st!

The 1985 Honda ATC 350X painstakingly restored by Mike Palmgren of Vintage Motorsports Restorations. When I was 15 this three-wheeler was a dream machine—it still is!

Turtle Garage continued to write articles for Sports Car Market. In 2025 we authored several articles in the Buy/Sell/Hold column and we covered the sale of Gooding & Co. to Christies auction house.
