Project CJ Part II: Flash Update

IMG_0403

Turtle Garage Flash Update: Project CJ is progressing nicely. With the help of the Internet and our burgeoning Jeep network, we have located many hard to find “new old stock” parts. The roll bar and windshield have been removed. The Jeep has been entirely stripped and is in the paint booth at Lee’s Garage. It will be sprayed this week. The seats and carpet are in excellent original condition but are being cleaned and reconditioned. Dean hopes to have the CJ back at his shop next week to begin the reassembly process. The Jeep was recently extensively sorted so there is little mechanical work left to do. Once reassembled we will perform a second thorough detail of the undercarriage and engine. Project CJ could be ready to roll by mid July! It promises to be the highest quality bone stock original CJ on the planet. With only 38,000 miles from new, I have the original window sticker, all the service records, and all the original manuals. I even have the original 1984 Jeep CJ brochure. I can’t wait to see the finished product.
